Christy Curtis Buss

Christy Curtis Buss grew up in her mother's dance studio in St. Louis, Missouri, where movement, discipline, creativity and caring for others became part of her life from an early age.

In 1979, she won the ABC television special All American Girl and moved to Los Angeles. She went on to cheer for the Los Angeles Rams, became dance captain and traveled the world on eight USO tours. Her career later expanded into choreography for television, entertainment and professional sports.

From performance to choreography, from live entertainment and professional sports to television, film and creative direction, Christy has built a dynamic career in the entertainment industry. She has performed, choreographed, acted, hosted and worked across a wide range of projects, bringing creativity, discipline and a deep understanding of people and movement to everything she does.

In 1993, following in her mother's footsteps, Christy opened The Studio Art of Dance in El Segundo, California. For more than three decades, she has taught thousands of students, from young children taking their first dance class to senior citizens discovering that movement has no age limit. The Studio became a place where students of all ages could build confidence, find community and experience the transformative power of dance.

HEDO grew from many of those same beliefs. Christy believes that how we care for ourselves affects how we feel about ourselves and that skincare can be a meaningful part of that relationship. What began as her passion for creating exceptional skincare has grown into a continuing pursuit of better ingredients, smarter formulation, advanced delivery technologies and the emerging science of skin longevity.

For Christy, HEDO isn't about standing still. It's about continuing to learn, question, improve and reach for what skincare can become next.
